Evie Vitolina

Production Co-ordinator

“I have been working at Whitemeadow for around 4 years. From the very beginning of my employment I have been offered various opportunities to grow within the company and learn new skills. I started as a General Operative in the piecing-up section in the Cutting department. A couple of months later I was offered an opportunity to work on Recuts. I was a Re-Cutter for 2 and a half years from which I spent almost a year on Maternity leave. During my Maternity leave I was offered to take part in two training courses for Lectra’s Diamino and Formaris software. After returning from my maternity leave I was offered yet another opportunity to progress and become a CAD Operator for the Cutting department. Shortly after I was looking for new challenges and that’s when I became a Production Coordinator in Cutting, responsible for CAD, Recuts and Service. I also recently completed a Management Training programme that has helped me better myself as a Coordinator. I can honestly say that I am very happy with the opportunities I have had so far at Whitemeadow and am positive that I will be able to grow even further within the company.”

Timea Stoica-Nagyi

Sewing Machinist

“I started to work in the sewing room in Export Drive and my job was to make sure that the sewing machinists had everything they needed and keep the room organised. Knowing nothing about the sofa industry, and being in a completely new environment, obviously I was very nervous, but thanks to the lovely staff (especially my supervisor), everything went easy and smoothly.
After the first year Whitemeadow gave me the opportunity to apply for a machinist trainee job and currently I’m working as a full-time sewing machinist at the Fulwood site. Thanks to Whiteameadow I discovered a skill that I never knew I had, and I realized that if you work hard you can achieve anything you want. For this I’ll be forever grateful to Whitemeadow.”

Aidan Wilson

Production Supervisor

“I started here in 2013, working at Export Drive, prepping for upholstery. Just nine months later I was given the opportunity to train as an upholsterer at our Sutton Road site, later moving back to Export Drive on track 4 where I quickly became a skilled upholsterer and part of the team. I thoroughly enjoyed working on the vast mix of models we produce, from accent chairs to corner beds! 2016 saw yet another great opportunity to progress my career at Whitemeadow becoming the youngest Production Supervisor, with great support from all levels - directors, managers, and staff. I genuinely believe that with the right attitude, willingness to learn and energy, the chances to go far are here.”
